Applying shape styles in Office 2011 for Mac. Like the Font group, when you use the Shape Styles tools in the Format tab of the Ribbon, the formatting changes are applied to the shape itself, as well as the text inside the shape. Many of the tools have an option that takes you to the Format Shape, Picture, or Text dialog. There are many formatting marks in Word document, such as tab characters, spaces, paragraph marks, hidden text, optional hyphens, object anchors, optional breaks and so on. Some of them are shown and some of them are hidden by default. Follow this tutorial to learn how to show or hide them in Word. Show or hide formatting marks in Word 2003. Click anywhere in a paragraph or select multiple paragraphs when you apply these formatting options. Decrease Indent or Increase Indent: Click Decrease Indent to make the indent smaller or remove it; click Increase Indent to make the indent bigger. Changing the horizontal alignment

Note: Because the last line of text in a paragraphis often shorter than the other lines, it may not appear to bejustified. To justify the last line in a justified paragraph, placethe insertion point at the end of the last line, and then pressShift-Enter (Shift-Return on a Mac). Use theEnter key on the main keyboard, not on the keypad. Thiswill insert a soft return (i.e., a non-paragraph-ending return). Beaware that justifying a very short line of text may look odd becauseof the large amount of space that will be created between the words.
